Well... my faith is restored. I stated in my last post that there is no hope in this election for a candidate with a back bone- another Ronald Reagan, but I was mistaken. I had forgotten about the vice presidential candidates. I am very proud of McCain's choice for a running mate. She has a back bone. No, I don't like her simply because she and I are both women... she tells the people the truth and, in her words, is not going to Washington to seek the approval of the media, "but to serve the people of this great nation."

I am re-energized about the election now, with the vice presidential candidates in the picture. I hope this forum will open up to the VP choices as well as the Presidential options...

(Oh, and thank you Gabriella S. for respecting my opinions about Obama. I am not getting much respect about them on campus. I now have a greater respect for you. Thanks again!)

Well, well Jarrod, I am not an idiot but I could see how people might think that by responding to one.  I wasn't talking about their qualifications, the point of me bringing up the topic was to discuss something totally different and outside of the scope of politics.  But if you weren't so quick to insult people but instead took time to be thoughtful maybe you would have understood what I was trying to do.

Please watch the animations--if there is one thing I detest, it is the term "drugs and alcohol", and this animation if anything shows very well that alcohol is JUST ANOTHER DRUG (and one with the potential to cause extremely problematic effects at that...but unless you watch the animation with prior knowledge of GABA and glutamate's respective ratios to other neurotrasmitters and their respective diffuse roles/mechanisms in the brain, you probably would need more than just the animations to pick up on the potential harmful effects of alcohol, especially in comparison to various other drugs...but that's OK, you should still check these out)
